Ahhhh Cher. She has always struck me as a woman of unusual beauty. I think if she didn't have the inner strength of believing in herself~ she wouldn't be so striking. Her self-confidence overrides her flaws. I haven't always agreed with how she presents herself, but I've always admired that she is a bold woman and stands proud.
she does look good for her age. but then again, I've never seen her in person. anyone can look good in a photo that's been airbrushed to death! and I can't get used to the blonde look on her...
Isn't she just amazing? Incredible to see her in these images... my parents saw her in concert last year and I regret having not gone myself. I guess her concerts are out of this world!
This did put a smile on my face... something I surely needed today!
I love Cher! Saw her in concert once and she was unbelievable! When my Dad managed movie theatres, he had a framed issue of Time Magazine with her on the cover in a beaded Bob Mackey dress. When he retired, the only pictures he took from his office were the autographed Audrey Hepburn (which I now have! Yay!) and the Cher picture. It's on a shelf in Mom & Dad's bedroom.
Tutu: Oh, yeah! When they were filming "Silkwood" Cher, Kurt Russell and Meryle Streep walked into a Don Pablos a girlfriend of mine used to manage. It was a late Sunday night and the group drove to Dallas from Denton, Texas where filming took place because Cher had a craving for Mexican food. The waiters were too shocked to wait on them, so my friend Margaret walked over and took their order. Cher had no makeup and was quite chatty and gorgeous. FUN! lol, Tutu!!
Chrixean: I agree.
Kenju: I too wish the lips were left alone but, she is an amazing woman!
Kelly: My best friend in Colorado once told me USA did a survey among Americans and 80% loved her because she was Honest! I dig that about her!!
Bud: She has a definite "likeability factor" and is very philanthropic. She fascinates me.
The Old Lady: Yeah, I agree. What is she now 40? 50?
Webmiztris: Well, stick around. That could change. She is still very cool!
Hick: I'd have to disagree on the "empty headed" part. Meryl Streep and Cher were once very close and Meryl said in an interview that if Cher had the benefit of more schooling she would be running a movie studio. So, she has plenty of smarts and courage!
Fallen Angel: Thanks! You never know what I'll do here but I try to keep it interesting. If I had to pick a concert to see it would be Cher. But I am sure we'll both get a chance.
Heather: That is so awesome! My oldest brother once shook hands with President Kennedy! I think Gene Simmons of KISS said it best (having once dated Cher). "In every decade there was Cher and in every decade ahead there will still be Cher!" I thought that was a great compliment.
Becky: She's admitted it and considers it no big deal. To each their own. She's still a lady who has not had it easy and nevertheless has a career that continues to sizzle.
Striking... absolutely. I don't think she's ever really denied having had surgery, has she? I think she's always subscribed to the school of "do what you need/want to look/feel the way your best."

I love that movie Silkwood that she did with Kurt Russell. At her age now, she's still a looker isn't she? :)
I must say that she ages truly gracefully... she is a reaal beauty, surgery or none :-) Thanks for dropping by earlier! Have a blessed day :-)
I don't like the last photo; she has too much collagen in her lips, but she was a beauty even before she got her teeth and nose fixed.

I didn't follow her after the Greg Allman thing. For no particular reason. But I always liked her.
She looks remarkable for her age.

I always thought she was a beautiful woman...a little empty-headed, but beautiful.

ANd she still wonders why people think she's had plastic surgery? There's a permanent record of her transformation;)
Becky: She's admitted it and considers it no big deal. To each their own. She's still a lady who has not had it easy and nevertheless has a career that continues to sizzle.
ooh one of my fav gals. and she can sing, too!
Karma: Yeah, she's smart, she has heart, she sings and she is quite an actress. A super girl! Most definitely.

Keri: Yes. She's a very honest no BS kind of gal. I like that about her as do millions of others! lol!
