POST CONCERT UPDATE!

_____
Hello, Everyone! We decided it was safer to spend an extra night and take the Tour Bus back to Cincinnati the following morning. This trip was one of the most positive emotional experiences of my life! The lobby of the Drury Lodge resembled an Aspen, Colorado ski resort--just beautiful--and I removed one of the two custom panels I designed for our "Sahara Express" Tour Bus measuring 34" X 60" so everyone could sign it with a black Sharpie Marker. I met Bloggers who--literally--flew in from Coast-to-Coast on their own nickel. Their dedication was a beautiful display of Love for Sahara! And we all just fell in love with precious Sahara Aldridge! Rick's love and generosity to all of us was truly amazing. And so the "Quality Time" we Bloggers had before a roaring fireplace was so filled with Love and Laughter and Fun, I don't think any of us ever wanted it to end! Rick's Manager Rob and I met where he accepted the Proclamation from Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory designating December 8, 2006 as "Sahara Aldridge Day" to be given to The Aldridge Family. The atmosphere was "Magic"!
___
Earlier, I met with Amy and Shannon--Sahara's parents and her Grandma Dooley for hugs and kisses. When I was introduced to Sahara, I briefly told her about our bus trip and that we had filled the bus with 63 fans with our Love and Support for her from the hotel. This special little girl wearing a knitted cap put her arm around me for two photos and said "Thank you so much". As I walked to my seat I knew that I would never be the same person again. What an Angel!

_____
Before I sign off, I'd like to thank a few more people who treated me like I was someone special: Grandma Dooley, The Media in Cape Girardeau: Crystal Britt of KFVS Channel 12 CBS, Tyler Morrison of KMIS Radio, Matt Sanders from the Southeast Missourian, Bud Buckley--thank you, for interviewing me on your own BLOG!; Belizegial-a woman with so much love, she donated her entire BLOG Page to my write up, featured 24/7 music from Rick and promoted the event hard. Please remember that even $10 will help take unnecessary pressure off The Aldridges at this time, so they can focus ALL of their attention on keeping Sahara well. I will be Guesting on Sarasota, Florida's WIBQ "Sunny" News/Talk 1220 AM's "Suncoast Magazine" with Host Doug Miles in the days ahead for an update on the Tour Bus project. Thank You!

I'm glad you're back safely and so high on the experience. Your gift of love will never be forgotten. Screw Cincinnati and their media.

Now it's time to take care of Michael.

Well Michael, I have always believed that making a difference is the ONLY thing in life that truly matters. And doing it from the heart without expectations of any kind of thanks or gratitude is truly gratifying. So I know we know how this feels, and how blessed we are to have come all together in love and support of this precious girl and her faithful family. I am proud to be part of it in the small ways I can contribute. :-)

D-Man: lol! It was "Magic" and I too wish you could have been there!

Heidi: We had quite a crew, and we made friendships for a lifetime. lol and (((HUGS))) to you!!

Bud: Amen to that! My car goes in for an oil change and tire rotation tomorrow and I go in for my tests December 18th--just routine. But I appreciate your support Bud!

Sally: Back atacha :-)!!!!

Ally: You contributed in a big way! When I walked up to Rick after "Red House" and he ran over and grabbed our sign, that was a HUGE moment for me, for you and for all of us. I am going to wait to collect photos being e-mailed to me. Judy took 237 alone! lol! You and Stacey were our "Snowbunnies" in that Lodge! What a BLAST! Tried to e-mail you without success. Main thing now is to finish my follow ups here. I have signed a personal copy of my departure BLOG and deloivered all but one to every FedEx Kinkos Manager. I did pen an Editorial here locally to explain to The People of Cincinnati what happened. We would have had 2-3 coaches filled otherwise. But I am proud that we filled the bus in Cape Girardeau and made Sahara smile! Let's keep up now with Amy, Shannon and Sahara so they continue to have our supportiveness! lol, Ally!!

Take care, and happy holidays!

Michael,

I am so happy that all turned out well. It was wonderful to be able to help you in marketing this event in blogosphere and Sahara really deserved this highlight in her life at this time.

My continued prayers are with the Aldridge Family.

Suzanne: I enjoyed meeting Rick. He's a very relaxed guy with a great sense of humor who can laugh at himself. As a performer, he was dynamite!

Enid: lol to YOU! It is important to keep the Aldridge Family in our most heartfelt prayers and thoughts! You are amazing. Thank you my dear friend!

Teresa: lol! I think Sahara gave far more to me and to all of us that night. She is really precious! And the supportiveness must continue for her battle until she wins! And she will!!!

Michael,

Thanks for all of your support and the great bus load of Rick/Sahara fans. The next 30 days of treatment will
tell if this new treatment will work. Let's channel some healing energy and pray that in the middle of
January we will see some shrinkage of this tumor.

Darrin
