DIXON TAKES INDY FIRESTONE 200...
Wow! Saturday began for me with breakfast and then my "nose to the grind stone" reviewing my notes from the night before for an intense long-distance telephone interview for Airways magazine. I had been preparing for the 30 minute discussion with an aviation Legend (whose identity I cannot yet reveal) for well over a month. More on that after we go to press and are out in fine bookstores, such as Barnes & Noble in the U.S. and to magazine racks in the U.K. and eventually all 4 corners of the globe. Later in the evening, I caught Scott Dixon's Indy Firestone 200 win with only 29 laps left before rain caused the Red Flag to come out with a new winner. nope. racing cars is noise and driving around in circles. i've never been to a car race. i imagine people in the stands spilling beer everytime a car crashes.
not that i've never spilled a beer or two myself...
No race-- we went to see an 'illusionist', lol!
And now I hear on the news they removed the magazines from the planes (?) Seems to me that Airways would be the most appropo to fly with.
