Traditionally in Bobsledding, we hardly hear anything about the push athletes. But today, all of that changes on my BLOG Page. We've been featuring both Men's and Women's Team Bobsled athletes. My late cousin died of breast cancer 8 years ago. One of many things she instilled in me as a kid was a love of animals--horses more specifically. Last Saturday, I was honored to attend the birthday party of my friend Rich Mackney. An avid cyclist, Rich and I met at the same Athletic Physical Rehabilitation workout facility about 14 months ago. Rich was recently diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's Disease (ALS). There is no effective treatment for this disease, but a few weeks ago Rich underwent a revolutionary new stem cell implant procedure that will hopefully restore motor neuron function. my favorite writer, Guy Clark to regale us with our Third Sing-A-Long. This
one is dedicated to my late friend Cosmic Crayola (Karen) who was a Blog
Bud of mine. She died recently and I recall her last note to me about Guy's
breakthrough hit from 1975, "L.A. Freeway": "I sang all the way down to
Skinny Dennis, then had to stop". Bless her heart. She is missed.

Last Sunday, I spent a few hours at "The Palace Bar" in Prescott, Arizona to see where Steve McQueen, Robert Preston and Ida Lupino filmed "Junior Bonner"in 1972.The film co-starred the lovely Barbara Leigh. I will post some photos I shot during my visit soon. After a nice dinner, I headed back to Phoenix. Quite a day!

Our feature "Friday Movie Suggestion Night" will not appear this upcoming week in observance of Gunner Gillespie's memorial service. The service will be held Monday, November 3rd at 6 PM in Benton, Kentucky. A second service near Gunner's parents,Gus and Janna's hometown in Illinois will be held Thursday, November 6th.
